Botanical Inventories

A botanical inventory can range from a focused search for rare species to an attempt to list all plant species present on a site. I have a decade of experience conducting botanical inventories for the University of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, the Connecticut chapter of the Nature Conservancy, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the Winooski Valley Park District (northern Vermont), and others.

Below are some of the rare plants I have discovered and documented:

Pinedrops (Pterospora andromedea), Endangered in Vermont

Tuckerman's sedge (Carex tuckermanii), Endangered in Massachusetts

Broad-leaved waterleaf (Hydrophyllum canadense), Endangered in Massachusetts

Great bur-reed (Sparganium eurycarpum), Threatened in New Hampshire
